It is always best to enable the AI on the camera and you will much happier with the NVR8CH-AI. FYI the 8P with have the PoE switch in the NVR and all the camera cables will need to go back to the NVR and the non (xP) you will need your own PoE switch to power the cameras.

I do not think you are able to save the live view sequence the way you want in the dmss app like you can in the NVR layout. You have to remove the cameras in the NVR camera list and then add them in the order you want them to appear. You can then choose what NVR is on top.
