What version BI do you use? Even when I do the workaround, my MD settings reset to default when making changes to BI. I will try contacting BI support. I saw this mentioned very early on in this thread and thought it would have been fixed by now. Hopefully they can isolate the bug.

These are my BI settings that were able to pull alerts from the camera, but would turn the camera's MD on shortly after or after making any camera changes in BI and saving.

Yes, using IE and all settings save properly as long as ONVIF isn't enabled on the BI side. When I enable ONVIF settings in BI for the camera, triggers, or alerts, it turns the camera's MD on by itself. What BI version are you using?

Thanks again for setting me straight. I had all other optimizations done and only used sub streams for recently added 4k cameras. I just enabled substreams on all and my CPU dropped to 15-20% with some other programs running. On point! NVRs seem to be another rabbit hole from initial search...
