Managed to install the camera on Friday, just in time for Christmas. I went from 1 5231 in October 2017 to now 4 camera's around the house. Might have to get a bigger HDD for the NVR too, 4 camera's (including 3 4MP ones) takes a lot more storage than 1 2MP one. Took the opportunity to reroute...

See my attached screenshot above. There was no 'animal detection' or anything like it before. All camera's would trigger just because something moved. Newer camera's should still work like that if that checkbox in that screenshot is unchecked, but checking/unchecking that checkbox does nothing...

If only this checkbox actually worked...

Just triggers for the camera to record on the build-in SD-card. I also record 24/7 on a NVR and so also triggers on the 24/7 timeline. I rarely use camera notifications on my phone.

So probably a good idea to format the SD-card on my laptop before placing it in the camera and then another format through the camera's webinterface, just to be sure. The reset did mess things up. It got the same IP-adress as the 5442 and all things went wrong. These things/problems take years...

Well, I managed to make some progress. I factory reset the 5231 and now the IVS events get to the NVR. I haven't installed the SD card yet, that's something for tomorrow. Hopefully that'll work.

Removed the SD-card from the 5231 and rebooted. Still the same issue. No IVS triggers comes throught towards the NVR.

My camera is giving me more problems. 2 days ago (August 29) I changed 2 things. Around 15:00 in the afternoon, I removed an old IVS tripwire rule and replaced it with a new one (landscaping changed so I had to change the rules). Every setting I got right, I verified it also with another camera...
