Not worth the time or trouble.

I tested it for couple of hours yesterday and this change did a massive improvement. So a big thanks to you fenderman. I was already on high performance and all settings were bare minimum. So I was scratching my head why a 3rd gen i5 cant take on 6 cameras. I was thinking earlier that I have...

video freezes for a second at every 7-10 seconds?

How much is load on the CPU. Mu live view is few seconds delayed and it might be that your laptop is not able to cope up with the stream. Try decreasing resolution and FPS of the camera. Record direct to disc and remove any watermarks by BI and use the ones by camera directly.

I want to know what settings user normally change in Blue IRIS or their cameras to work it smoothly as it is spiking my laptop CPU too much. I understand it is not good to have a laptop for this ( I am using thinkpad x230 with 3rd gen dual core i5 2.6 Ghz with 8 GB RAM and 180 GS SSD). Now, when...

Laptop or Desktop Pc ? to run Blue Iris?

Looks like I read this topic a bit late. Did my research and realised my existing Core2Duo thinkpad will not be enough to power up 6 Hikvision cameras. So bought another used 3rd gen i5 thinkpad ( 2.6 Ghz processor and it is dual core). But taken Blue Iris minimum specs is a dual core 2.0...

    5MP models DS-2CD2155F-IS DS-2CD2355-I?

Anyone else who have purchased the 5 MP ones and can give some feedback. Thinking to get them or 4 MP ones. Also suggest if 4 MP chineese model are fine or we need to get the international model where we can update the firmware.
