Blue Iris Push Notifications Not Working

is anyone else having issues with push notifications on iOS with Blue Iris? I have been having issues for the last several day. It appears to be related to the SSL certificate for iOS being expire. I emailed suppor, but haven’t heard back. I was curious if others are having the same issu?

Fed up with Nest Hello ($$!)

I have two Nest Hello doorbells and I like them for what they are. TBT I bought them before local AI integration using AI Tool and BI. My setup is the same as yours, I am pulling the public stream for my doorbells into BI. If I had to do it again though I would go with the Amcrest doorbell or...

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I totally overlooked that lol. I’m going to test it out for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for this. I am going to give it a try. I agree with others about the cost of Rekonition due to exceeding 500 images per month. I’m not exactly sure how many images Deepstack processes daily for me, but I imagine that I exceed 500 images a month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Google Nest Device Access API now available

This sounds promising. I’m still reading up on this, but it sounds like we’ll be able to pull doorbell chime events in a home automation application, like Home Assistant. Also are you trying to pull the live stream from the cloud or from the cameras local IP? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for this, but unfortunately this doesn't work. When I hit this from a browser it asks me for a username and password. I am running the newest version of BI.

What is the actual syntax to cancel an alert? Is the same as the trigger URL? This is what I use to trigger a camera http://BIIP:port/admin?camera=CamShortName&trigger&user=username&pw=password

Change edge vector to simple for the algorithm. I've had issues with edge vector (as others have).

Sorry for the delayed response here. I just checked and my Pi is using 460 MB total for memory usage, so I believe that you will be fine with 1 GB.

Yep it is a NCS2 and is plugged into a USB 3 port. I’m not sure what the other member was running in regards to cameras, but I have 13 cameras on Deepstack/AI Tool and have most of my cameras cloned in BI and am pulling a sub stream of 640X480. The other cameras are pulling 1920X1280. Sent...

This is a great point @Chris Dodge I used the Raspberry Pi Imager and went with the full version. I then updated the OS and installed Deepstack. I connect via VNC Viewer and don't have a monitor connected to the Pi. Edit: it may be important to note that I use RDP to connect to my BI machine to...

I'm honestly not sure. My boxes are around objects properly. I used this to get Deepstack installed on my pi: https://python.deepstack.cc/raspberry-pi The only difference was that I used this command to install sh install-deepstack.sh

I am running a Raspberry Pi 4b with an NCS 2 and it is working very well for me. I also was interested in running the NCS on a PC, but the problem is that Deepstack for the NCS is only supported on a Raspberry Pi.

This is working now. I believe that the problem was that I had a AI Tool service pointing to the exe and also had to console window open. This used to work on GentlePumpkin's tool. I am really enjoying the ability to draw a mask for each camera directly from your tool as well as the dynamic...

@Chris Dodge I am having an issue where AI Tool isn't monitoring the input folder. I am running the latest version. I have it defined under the settings tab. Do I also need to set each input folder on each camera in AI Tool?

That is awesome news, I'm glad to hear that you're getting better images now. I have to give credit to @bigredfish as well as others here that helped me tune my cameras with the settings that you are using now.

    VPN Primer for Noobs

For those using WireGuard, do you have any trouble with iPhones connecting automatically when switching from WiFi to cellular? I've attempted to use OpenVPN, but the auto connect was too unreliable when leaving the house. Just wondering what other's experience is.

I set my night profile differently. I normally set the shutter to 1/30 as it lets more light in and produces a better image IMO.

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Have you tried setting the exposure to shutter priority and set the value to 0 - 5? I'm not sure if this will help with WDR, but I've seen a benefit with helping to catch a good snapshot of a person moving quickly by changing this setting (I have all of my cameras set this way in the day...

Thanks for this info. Can you report back after testing under a heavy load? I'm still deciding on buying another machine to run Deepstack on or to buy a Pi with a NCS2. For most of my cameras I have BI taking a snapshot every 3-5 seconds depending on camera location. My response times are...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

When sending images to the PI with the NCS2, are these times under heavy load, i.e. how many cameras/images are you sending to be analyzed? The reason that I ask is because I have 11 outdoor cameras which about 3-6 that overlap at any given time so AI Tool can throw multiple images to Deepstack...
