It's definitely talking to the NVR. I hit the reboot button inside the tinycam app and it rebooted the NVR. I just can't get the video feed.

Yes, there was a discrepancy as when I connected directly to the NVR , the port said 8554, but when logged in from web, it's 554. So I changed everything to 554. But again, no dice...

I tried everything. RTSP over TCP, RTSP over UDP, HTTP... to no avail. Not sure if it matters, the actual model of my system is not listed in the Laview section. I just picked a bunch and tried and nothing worked. Please see below, I left my public IP blank for posting purposes.

as mentioned, I can't connect my Laview NVR to Tinycam. But I have no problem with my laview stock app. In the IP address in Tinycam app, do I enter my public IP address? Which protocol do I use? Thanks!

Just our of curiosity, since the router is the one assigning random internal IP's, how does it know if the static IP set in the NVR is not taken(I guess because it's hooked up to it)? You meantioned "if this is how you're going to utilize remote aaccess" are there other ways? or better easier...

So all I have to do is set up a DDNS service and also assign a static IP by logging into the NVR and assign there? I understand in order to have DDNS service, I'd have to change the settings in the router as well, and I think I know how to do that. But I also see settings like DHCP, is this for...
