so when I set to use the local drive the move worked. OK so it is something with the mapped drive. I have BI running as a service, and I am using a service account not local system. thoughts?

where does BI keep their log files?

So the recordings are not being protected, and I did a regenerate of the database. No files moved to the storage file location

Yes path is correct. I don't want the files deleted out of the stored folder, so before I make the setting change on Stored to delete I just want to make sure it doesn't delete the files in that location. If it does, how do I set the setting to moved to the stored folder and keep the files...

I solved the problem by stopping the service, and config BI startup not to start as a service. I was able to get in then. I will put back to a service and try again later. thanks for the help

Drive is fine, plenty of room :), but good idea to check. Reviewing your other suggestions. Side note, Is there away to move the recoded files from BI3, to BI4. I have another server running fine with BI4, and I need to get the video captures :)

thanks, I have had this running for a while now. I believe the version of BI is the latest before BI4. I can't get into the software to get the actual version, sorry. I am attaching an error I receive once in a while, not all the time.

Hi everyone, I have BI3 running on Win2k8 R2 as a service. When I try to launch gui mode, BI opens for a few seconds then closes. Do anyone have any clues to what I should do to fix this? Thanks Tony
