I currently have a HikVision DS-7616NI-E2 NVR hooked up to a mix of 13 HV DS-2CD2xxxx 3MP and 4 MP cameras. I recently purchased a Eufy E340 floodlight camera and have been impressed that it only triggers a motion recording event when a vehicle or person is detected unlike my NVR that records...
A year ago Nelly's sent me this one: DZ20180521_111_28_H2_EN_STD_V1.4.62_180809.zip (attached). You can always contact Nelly's, they're very responsive.
I've had issues with SD card brands in two different dash cams. Same cards were always fine in my PC but caused reboots, etc, in my cams. I've consistently found that Samsung cards work all the time and now only use Samsung cards in my dash cams and my IP cams that take SD cards including the...
That's a pretty old model that I'm not familiar with. Hopefully you won't get the language mismatch error when adding HV cameras. Be careful updating its firmware (or just don't) as you may end up with a Chinese only speaking NVR.
Yes, on my HV NVR I can setup for 24/7, motion, etc., on a per camera basis. You can control most of the camera's important features through the NVR, like motion sensitivity, area of interest, schedule, etc. The NVR manual is available here...
I ordered the wedge for the doorbell from Nelly's, it helps a bit with the view. Still wish I could disable IR.
One issue, to install the wedge I had to disconnect the power to the doorbell. When it rebooted it connected to my WiFi and I could see it on my HV NVR. However, the Guarding...
Well I went ahead and tried the FW on the HV Europe site, "upgrading" from V.1.4.62 Build 171218 to V.1.4.62 Build 180515. By mistake I loaded the 6403 FW first. It worked but then I load the 6003 FW as I think that's what the Nelly NSC-DB1 really is. I'm not sure what the differences are...
Yes, it still announces the subscriber not available message. And sadly we're still unable to turn off the IR. I'm worried HV has abandoned this product.
Quick update. I removed my doorbell from my NVR and the GV app is now notifying me. I re-added the doorbell to my hikvision NVR and the notifications continue to work on GV. Go figure. Thanks @RyanODan for the help.
I'm having the same issue. Using Hik-Connect I can get notifications but after a day or two the doorbell goes "offline" yet my HV NVR and the doorbell's web interface all work fine, the camera is working and sending video. So I switched to Guarding Vision but it doesn't notify me of doorbell...
I watched this Ring video, Using the Diode Included with Your Ring Video Doorbell , and it does say to install the diode for digital chimes, at least on that model which is the non-Pro model. I'm thinking the diode isn't need (and shouldn't be used) for their Pro model?
I'm not really familiar with the Ring product but I believe the Ring IS compatible with digital chimes, meaning that Ring most likely incorporates the diode internally, half wave rectifying the power to the digital chime to keep it happy (just as the external diode would in a mechanical chime...
Ground is relative, since the doorbell has no earth ground connection, the full AC sine-wave can be viewed as all positive, or negative, doesn't matter. Normally a bridge rectifier (full wave rectifier with 4 diodes) would create a positive rail for the digital signal smoothed by a capacitor...
The diode in the circuit is a half-bridge rectifier, meaning the doorbell is only getting half the power. I'm not familiar why digital chimes need the diode, but if the chime needs a diode the doorbell camera only gets half the power.
If you're having same the issue I had, the problem with the chime humming is that current is flowing to the doorbell all the time. In a normal setup, current only flows when you depress the doorbell switch. So as the doorbell camera consumes power, the coil in the chime is energized and the...
The doorbell comes with a resistor. Just remove one wire from one of the chime's terminals, transformer or front connection, doesn't matter, or remove both wires from the chime, just make sure you complete the circuit with the resistor instead of the chime completing the circuit. This way...
The camera is recording all the time, not to SD, but to a circular buffer in RAM. There's a very limited amount of RAM so it can only store so much video in the RAM's circular buffer. If motion is detected or the doorbell button is pressed it then stores the video to SD.
You can set the doorbell to start recording 5s before motion is triggered and another 5s longer after motion stops. I think you can also set it for other than 5s (10, 15, etc.) too. So yes, it will record the approach. It will record to its SD card, which if stolen, is no help. If you have a...
You may want to name the extended WiFi's SSID something other than the primary SSID. For example, if your home's SSID is MyHouse, then name the extender's WiFi's SSID "MyHouse_ext" so you know that you are indeed connecting to the extender. Note you can use the same password for both SSIDs and...
I doubt it is power problem as 19.8VAC is fine. Your clue is that you're losing connection to Blue Iris, I think WiFi is the issue. As a test, can you move the router closer to the doorbell or try a repeater?
Did you check that you’re getting at least 16VAC at the doorbell both when the doorbell is connected and when it isn’t?
Next you could remove the wires at the chime (labeled transformer and front) and place the resistor in the kit in place of the chime. Again make sure you have at least 16VAC...
