[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Adding this just in case anyone runs into the same issues, I've been chasing my tail for a few weeks now and JUST solved it. My setup is 11 cams of various makes and models, but I've had a terrible time with detection working for my Annke I51DM (C500), it all tests right but doesn't reliably...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Ensure that recording is set to "on trigger" and alerts are set to "on trigger, external". You should be able to paste your trigger URL into a browser window and press enter, you should get a confirmation message in the browser if it's working. Feel free to paste screenshots of your...

Reporting back that I got telegram working, I was using the wrong chat ID. Steps: Message @BotFather to make a bot. Name it whatever. Send /token and get the Token Then go to the telegram menu and make a new group chat, then add your @botname_bot to it Then send at least one message. Doesn't...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I'm not familiar enough to answer with confidence however my system is working at this moment however I'm struggling hard on telegram alerts. The tutorial DOES clone and DOES USE DUAL STREAMS. I think that probably adding the second url to the HD cam is probably an attempt to save cpu but...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

You did not clone the cameras, you used the integrated dual cam recording feature. Cloning cameras would be if you had DOUBLE INSTANCES of each camera in BI, each at a different resolution. This guide is very very good, if a tiny smidge outdated: danecreekphotography/node-deepstackai-trigger

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I was afraid of that. Here are some screenshots: In a camera, there are settings on TRIGGER for"Capture an Alert List Image" and on the Record tab for "Include all JPEG's" If these boxes are CHECKED, I get an alert list image any time anything triggers the BI motion detect settings, which...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Thanks Village Guy. That's what I thought the answer would be. Can you answer one more question for me: If I turn on "capture alert image" and "include jpegs", it fills up the alerts window with hundreds-to-thousands of stills because that's happening before AITool processes them, and the phone...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I think I want to switch to constant record for a few of my cameras because I've had it historically and it's been useful. Is there any major reason to NOT do constant record? Is there a significant improvement in using substream record + main stream alert record? I don't have substream urls for...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

This is a great tip...but I already had it off. Now I'm working awesomely, EXCEPT that my alert videos are only showing up via the webUI, none are showing up in the app. Weird.

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Thanks for the input. For my setup, disabling both "Capture Alert List Image" on the trigger tab and unchecking "Include JPEG's on All Clips and Timeline" together keeps the stills from the alerts list/window but the trigger still sends the jpeg to the processing folder. What I am now curious...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I have this working, however now I've got a few thousand spam alerts that are just jpgs. If I turn OFF "Capture an Alert List Image", it should still take the jpeg snapshot trigger pic, just not add it to the alerts, right?

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

Thanks. I really appreciate all your help. I can run all 6 cams at 1440/15 with multiple viewing connections at once and neither cpu or ram goes above 40%, I'd say I'm good and it's fast as blazes. Now if only I could get a BI instance for my headless debian rig...lol.

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

Ok, so yesterday I rolled back the driver to last years version and everything was fixed. Upped bitrate and quality went super. Then, like a dumbass, I decided to go ahead and finally uninstall BI4 because I'd never uninstalled it. I told it to keep settings and license info but it didn't...

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

OOoooooooooooooooooh. Sorry for the dumb question. In our environment we've been battling nvidia acceleration issues for one app with no graphics settings on like 2500 machines and that's just the way my head was working. Headless has never been an issue but I will look more into it! I've got a...

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

I think you mean in the graphics card options, not BIOS, is that correct? Disabling acceleration I mean? This box runs headless but I can throw on a monitor and edit that later this evening. I'll also look at rebuilding as much as I don't want to...it also runs a few critical vm's but I can work...

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

Thanks for that. The intel driver won't install, it says I need a dell driver. I don't have a rollback option. There's another new driver since I tried a few weeks ago, I grabbed that and one from last may, I guess I'll experiment and see what happens?

Sudden decrease in recording quality (green frames in particular), lots of troubleshooting info inside

All- I suspect this remains a video card driver issue but I cannot find helpful information. This may get long, troubleshooting is what I do professionally and so I try to be as thorough as possible. I have had this machine running flawlessly for over a year, it's an Optiplex 7040, which is an...

Cheap 720/1080 wifi for indoor use with solid BlueIris integration

Now that's what I was looking for! No issues with ONVIF/BlueIris integration?

Cheap 720/1080 wifi for indoor use with solid BlueIris integration

I picked up some of the Xiaomi cams from China last year...in the middle of the night...after maybe having a little too much wine...and they're garbage. There's hacked firmware out there but it doesn't really support my cams, and it would stay connected via onvif for ~30 mins before dropping out...

    What to do about trespassers?

They are, and that's a good point too. I guess I could gate across between the pillars there but I'm planning to box in the entire porch anyway to a mud room (who sits on a front porch in 2018?) so maybe I just need to expedite that.

    What to do about trespassers?

Lol, as I said above, renovations. Hoping to box it in before the cold weather gets here anyway, but thanks for the comment.

    What to do about trespassers?

Sorry all I stopped getting notifications. In order: I DO have a lot of stuff on the porch, nothing really of value save my boots, because we're in the middle of some significant renovations and I need space to work. Also, it's my gotdamt porch and if I wanna put stuff on there I should be able...

Follow up, does anyone have a favorite cam with two-way audio that might have quality on par with the dahua's I've got?

    What to do about trespassers?

Thanks. You meant a separate alarm, which I hadn't considered or realized. Much obliged for this. This plus a tripwire would be fun, lol. Edit: Just realized that I didn't answer your other question. My porch sits ~30' off the street and ~20' off the sidewalk, ish. Daytime cam records all...

    What to do about trespassers?

Thanks all! TonyR I've been tweaking the hell out of my setup, lol. I'm a work-from-home IT Engineer for a financial institution, so I can't ever leave well enough alone, lol. I have my whole network UPS'd and backed up and then had a power surge that came across my damned cable line---the only...

    What to do about trespassers?

ok that's what I was just looking at. Running cable wouldn't be hard, probably easier than messing with buying and setting up another camera. Thanks for the input.

    What to do about trespassers?

Thanks. I don't have the most recent folks names, just the one guy, but I didn't know about swearing my own complaint. I will do that in the future, thanks. I was thinking that with the speaker, overnight only. Having never done that sort of setup inside BI, is it difficult? I don't think my...

    What to do about trespassers?

Greetings, I've got a 5 cam BlueIris install up and running fantastically. My issue is that I live in a rural town with a lot of drugs and nonsense and I am CONSTANTLY getting people coming on my porch rooting through my stuff. I've only had one package taken and I dealt with that, but for...

Different zones based on the time?

Yep, I've got that. I think I've got some processsing lag but I'm not sure where it's coming from. CPU is sitting at 17-30% usage. I've noticed sometimes as I learn this software that it seems cameras will hang, and then deleting and readding them fixes it. I've kinda redone most of it this AM...

Different zones based on the time?

Dasstrum---sorry for the slow reply. I'd actually already watched your video, and I watched it again now, and that's really basically what I did. Watch a BUNCH in zone A, watch a smaller section in zone B, and then only alert in zone B. The issue is that, for whatever reason, it's not firing the...
