i had to use some hikvision software which only gave me the option to turn camera on so that blueiris could see it. there was no other settings in the software at all

hmm. when I go to the IP address of the camera I get a unable to be reached page.... guess ill have to try to figure out how to get into it.

Can anyone give me a recommendation for a color night vision outdoor ip cam. One that I can wire and would work with blueiris. I'm looking for the best with clarity and distance at night cost doesn't matter. Thanks

so After portforwarding RTP Data port "5000" I can now see the stream in the VLC player but I still can not get BI configured properly

I have scoured the internet and simply can not find any more info :( This sucks because I have 2 of these Xfinity cameras and I can see them locally on the cam IP. Seem like such a waste :(

there is a section in the network for multicast that is off.. should I turn it on?

So vlc doesnt give an error, just a grey screen and i checked the cam app and its working

when i make these changes i still get the no signal when i change it to RTSP from http here is what I am getting I even went onto my router and port forwarded 554 just in case

trying this update, however when i change it from http to rtsp it locks out the video path field

I fixed it but still get the no signal. It hangs on the multi colored screen for like 30 secs then goes to no signal
