Ok, no probs. I only suggested it as I had a similar issue in that I was changing the ip address on the in-camera menu and couldn't then find the camera. The problem was solved by rebooting the camera back to defaults and then using SADP.

Try downloading the Hikvision utility called SADP and using that to change the IP address instead. It's a program you run which detects and lists all cameras on your network, and allows you to change the IP address.

How are you changing the cameras IP address ?

Unfortunately you can't just use your 5.3.0 firmware on those cameras you bought from Aliexpress. They are China region coded and will brick if you load a genuine hikvision English firmware version. The 5.2.5 firmware on here, and supplied by many Chinese vendors is a Chinese region firmware...

You are right of course that IR light is not ideal for identification of offenders. Personally, in your situation I would just build a visible light led floodlight, leave it switched on and do away with the PIR. But that's just my opinion.

My 2132 and 2332 came from the factory set to 4096 kbps. That's about 42GB per camera per 24 hour period. So roughly 3 weeks to fill it with two cameras at 4096 kbps.

Are you using ivms 4200 ?. If so, go into Device config for your camera, then Image, Video and Audio, and you'll see the daily file size on the screen.

I have a 4mm 2132 covering my carport. It's mounted just above the garage door, about 7 feet off the ground. It does the job just fine.

In the manual for my camera it gave me the voltage and the watts required. For future reference you can work out the current (amps) by using the formula Amps = Watts divided by Volts. I was using a 12v, 1 amp power supply for my Hik 2032 and it was fine.

Does the camera specify how many watts it consumes ? What voltage ?
