Good to see no one else noticed anything wonky with my settings. I abandoned the SSDs and just went back to my Internal array (2 x 6 tb) and then continued the NAS cascade. Not really sure that the recordings reading from the SSD were actually any faster anyway, DB yes, recordings not so much.
