Serious cctv on a work truck

I'm out on the dahua, used 500 and new more than that. This will end up being a cheap system that works when driving. Which, ultimately is the goal so I guess it's good enough. I'd love parking protection but I don't know what the cameras would pull from the batteries solely. This system here...

Serious cctv on a work truck

Maybe something like this ran to a basic 8ch dvr. These aren't ip. But for a 360 dash cam system it should be fine.

Serious cctv on a work truck

More for driving, dash cam on steroids. But I won't be actively viewing them. I'll install a back up camera as needed. This is just an elite version of dash cam basically. It's a small investment worth protecting my vehicle and business against a false fraud insurance incident where I'm not at...

Serious cctv on a work truck

So, I'm not happy with what I've found online for vehicle cctv systems.... So why not install a residential cctv system in the truck? I don't know, maybe it's ridiculous, maybe it's possible. This is for a work truck and I'm just throwing ideas around and want to see what yall think. I...

Thanks, I bought a 30 watt injector since this is a clients house and not my own..

Should I add a Power Injector

I'm installing Empire Tech Loyrta 4mp PTZ that uses 22 watts with the IR on to a Amcrest NVR with a Max 22.5 Watts POE Per Port... This doesn't follow the general 80% rule in electrical. Should I install a power injector and not worry about burning up a poe port or am I over thinking it...

    Armcrest support is a joke

Any update a week later? Installed the 4mp doorbell cam from amcrest and when my client was signing up for the cloud option there was an issue and the support tech barely spoke English.

Amcrest Doorbell SN not long enough for cloud app

I installed a Amcrest NVR system and 4mp Doorbell camera. It's working with the amcrest home view app but when he tries to pay for a cloud account on the Doorbell it says the SN isn't long enough. Support hasn't been any help . Any info?

    Chickens cam

Nice. I'm building a coop and run now and can't wait to get some cams on it. Highly suggest just using a roller and painting the metal screen with black paint.

Seperate streams for YouTube, amcrest vs BI

So I was just wondering if there was a security risk of providing a live stream, and if someone somehow got through would having that system isolated from the home system using a different password be better. If that makes sense.

Seperate streams for YouTube, amcrest vs BI

Finally have the funding for upgraded cctv. I want to have several cameras on a chicken coop with a constant live stream on YouTube. This poses a couple questions. 1. Security wise, should I have 2 NVRs or BI machines with those chicken cams seperate from our home cams? 2. I want the...

IPVM Releases Phone Version of Calculator

Would a smaller charge for the calculator not be an option? If you're worried that a large number of current members would downgrade to just the calculator then that's an indication that the primary website isn't providing value. Since you know it is in fact providing value, a smaller...

What dash cam are you using?

It's nice to see RING get into the dash cam scene for the fact that more people will be armed with one however, I think it's a terribly ugly design. It surely makes it obvious to others and maybe that's part of the point. I just picked up a new Dual Dash Cam locally. BNIB, It was $50 and I...

Will this work on this Amcrest nvr

Alright so I'm making a final decision. Based on my recent threads, just going with the 4k ip amcrest because its an indoor office environment. Heres the question, Can I split the system with a poe switch on the other side of the building if I get this nvr that has individual ports? So, this...

NVR for Small Office, this my best bet?

Thoughts on if I go amcrest 4k cams should I just get an amcrest nvr and forget the rest since this is a basic system indoors. I'm just using their 2.8 and varifocal amcrest cams. Would bi5 give me any benefits over the nvr that would make it worth it. Remember, it won't be networked at all...

NVR for Small Office, this my best bet?

Well... Since I'm not connected to the web, recording anything in the dark/night, not remote viewing etc... Why wouldn't I just get a Amcrest nvr? Currently, I'm going to have to buy a $400 24port poe switch etc... When I could just install a 16ch poe nvr and be done. Its just a back up in case...

NVR for Small Office, this my best bet?

Yeah for sure, Since I'll be using BI I want to utilize as much efficiency as possible. Although, I may be better off just creating a schedule and recording in 4k during business hours. I guess that is definitely something I need to consider. So, with the sensor size difference the 8mp is still...

NVR for Small Office, this my best bet?

So since I got all the big heads in here and I don't want to make a new thread, These are Indoor fully lit 24/7 office cameras. So, Light is not an issue. That being said, the 2.8 cameras will be covering large general common areas. For this reason, I want to know if there is a reason I...
