If you compare before & after, you will see that after the upgrade you get a larger field of view compared to the Annke version. It seems like Annke firmware was cropping and enlarging images to get a higher resolution.- danpatel

New Annke C800 turret with audio?
FYI if you install HIkVision 5.5.114 on C500, your maximum resolution will change to 4mp (2560 x1440). I haven't tried 5.5.116.- danpatel
