I'm not an expert, but have been using Zoneminder for a while now. (Well, more 'playing with'...) I'm sure it has all the functionality you would need, and able to connect most IP based cameras and then some. Little bit of work in the config, but worth it in the end, I think. John.

Just after a relatively inexpensive camera, capable of viewing/configurng etc using at least https. Sick of having to install apps etc for basic connectivity. Security not a huge issue. Thanks.
