Any updates? I've been thinking about getting the same camera myself.

Put the firmware on a USB flash drive and install it when you see it pop up on your screen. I mentioned this in my Lechange NVR thread and this boot loop happened to about 50% of the people who flashed via TFTP.

If you use a NVR, does playback of video freeze when IVS is tripped on this firmware? Example, you decide to check footage on the NVR not web gui and as IVS is tripped the screen freezes. I noticed this issue with the March 19 2020 firmware.

Don't worry about the 10.1.x.x subnet. Did you plug the amcrest to your nvr? Did It show up in the cameras list? Or did you plug the camera elsewhere like a switch or your router?

Either or. Via nvr or web gui. From the top of my head since I'm not on a computer you basically go to camera then search, if it doesn't show up you can manually enter your IP, from one of the drop down boxes for camera brand choose private. Enter login and PW, maybe click the connect button...

The amcrest should work. Make sure you enter the correct username and password.

Interesting find. I'm not sure about the powerful-ness part. I have 4x 4k cams, 2x amcrest 2k cams 1x dahua 1080p and 1x amcrest 1080p. I don't have any issues recording and having IVS tripwire notifications in the 4 cameras but I never used the ftp part of the nvr.

You may have to redo the setup in the app. You can modify your current setup and I'm assuming you're using the P2P to view your cameras on LTE. Can you check to see if your serial number is in there? Which also reminds me, did you edit that text file with your serial number before flashing?

Sorry I'm not home this weekend but I'm going thru memory right now, can you check to see if your cameras have IVS turned on in smart plan. There are 2 options in smart plan, face detection and IVS. I don't remember the firmware in on but it's pretty recent I think March 2020

Interesting, sorry I don't have any experience using email or ftp for snapshots so I can't confirm but does the IVS event show in the timeline? I've only used IVS for notifications on my phone thru dmss app.

?? Are you trying to use TFTP on the link i provide above? I should've stated that is for flashing via web gui not thru TFTP.

Also, i noticed theres a newer firmware for the cameras but i only tried it on one of my cams. I haven't tested it much but installed it on one of my spare cameras. IPC-HFW4831E-SE

Yeah it's done. Interesting, i see it says success.txt at the bottom. I never seen that for the 4 cameras i flashed

There is a part where you get to the end and it'll seem like it won't do anything. At that point, you could just close the TFTP and console windows and unplug the camera the plug it back in. Should work

Can you post the file name of the firmware you used? If you're not using the 190 mb file, that isn't the full firmware needed to cross flash over to dahua and you will be bricked until you use that file.

You need to open the .bin file thru a program such as winzip winrar or 7zip to extract the files. I used 7zip and i couldn't extract the files unless i used a hex editor to change the headers at the very first line from DH to PK. After that i was able to extract without any issues. So to...

Smartpss doesn't feel bloated to me. It loads up in about 3 seconds for me and I can view live video or playback instantly without typing my login and password. But hey if you want to spend extra work on converting videos props to you.

It shouldn't matter if you record in just motion, if you use smartpss you could just export the clips in MP4.

I just use smartpss and export directly to MP4.
