I told you in the other thread after you got the NVR flashed to Dahua firmware that the Lorex cameras cannot be cross flashed. Only the NVR can. The cameras use a Lorex signed firmware that will only accept another Lorex specific firmware.

Garbled serial console data is usually caused by an incorrect configuration for the serial communication. I think the NVR's are usually configured for serial at 115,200 8 N 1 but maybe yours is set for a different speed or possibly the pins on the serial port are not configured right. Not really...

That is because your browser was giving you its cached copy of the pages.... After updating clear your browser cache before trying to go back into the web UI.

Lorex cameras are "mostly" OEM Dahua. You just need to change the default Lorex ports in the camera firmware to match the Dahua NVR first. Then they work using the native Dahua protocols.

On mine the WDR is helpful but the default level is way too high. I usually turn it down to about 20.

I'm not really sure on that to be honest.... Never tried it as the Dahua firmware is so much better but my guess is it would need to be done via the console cable. Glad to hear you got it going on the Dahua firmware regardless though.
