Welcome. It's not exactly plug and play, but I've got it down now where I can set up cameras to be fully operational in less than 30 seconds. Once you download the right tools, such as SADP, it's really not that difficult.

Which cameras do you have? I have Hikvision cameras, and use Sighthound for recording and then just the iVMS software to view the live feeds.

Absolutely. The iOS application is 100% optional. My previous PC was a ten year old OptiPlex 755 with a Quad Core processor and 4GB of RAM. CPU utilization was in the 70%, but it worked just fine.

So I've been using Sighthound for close to a year now, and can safely say I've been impressed with it. The actual application might not be anything fancy to look at, but the AI works very well and the their iOS app does a great job. I recently purchased a new PC, and it's gotten even better.

Do they have to be Logitech branded? There are probably lots of other (and faster) alternatives out there. The TP Link ones are very highly rated, and affordable. I use TP Link at my house for my PoE switch and PoE injectors and they work great...

Bert, I can safely say that I wont' be buying another one of the 2132F domes. I have one in my garage, and it's only sharp throughout perhaps 50% of the image. The rest of blurry enough to where I could not see a license plate of a vehicle backing into my garage. Like the other posters...

You'd but a PoE switch that connects to your (wireless) router. Each PoE slot enables you to provide power and data. If you don't want to buy a switch, you can but PoE injectors.

Agree with this post. Maybe, to make it easier on everyone, is have someone become an "expert" on setting these up and then neighbors just copying it.

Hopefully that will do it. If not, the IR is stuck and it's considered "bricked". Been there, done that. All Hikvision cameras work with Blue Iris (I don't use it myself, I use Sighthound).
