I have a dome camera mounted under my soffit and I'm getting IR glare which I think is coming from the soffit. Is there some material that would absorb IR so it doesn't reflect back to the camera? (paint, paper, foam...)

So I've finally got my NVR set up with 4 cameras. Now I would like to broadcast the output to all of the TVs in my home as cheaply as possible. I'm thinking that an RF modulator would do the job but I have a few questions. If anyone has done this already, or if you have a better suggestion...

I have a LaView NVR and cameras and have read numerous threads about flashing the HikVision firmware over the LaView stuff. My question is... What's the benefit of doing this? Is it worth the risk? Is interface better than the crappy LaView stuff? Will the image quality be better?
