    No,it never got resolved. I contacted Andy several times and he said he was escalating this up but after a few months I gave up contacting him and just pulled the camera and got a different brand. It's a shame because of the money but it was just too annoying.

    Yes, it tracks fine, immediately when something crosses a tripwire for example. When I use PTZ presets manually some of them may take 5 seconds, some of them 11+ seconds and it's not always the same presets.

    I don't understand what you mean in the first part "factory terminated cable". Regarding hops, from the Windows pc, the ethernet goes directly to the managed poe switch, then from the same switch a cat 6e cable to the camera.

    BI settings backup and restore

    It turns out, for me, it was a combination of restoring the settings and then restoring the cameras branch of the registry that got things back to normal. I occasionally export the cameras branch when I make a lot of changes to the cameras. I'm back up but still wondering what is the best method.
