Investigating the temperature issue, the bench test of the two cameras was at room temperature, so cold wouldn't have been a factor, and the dodgy one was still rebooting. Regarding the logs, the reboot message changed depending on the firmware I was using, logs attached earlier in this thread...

Indeed it can, that's how mine is mounted. It's bigger than you think though.

I originally had an SD card in mine, I took it out as part of testing, made no difference to the restarts.. Am I right in thinking that the three (four?) of us here with problems are all purchases in the last year, and all the no-issue owners are older cameras? Does that fit?

Ma May I ask, which firmware, how is it powered, what do you use to access it? IE, SmartPSS, BlueIris, 3rd party etc?

I can confirm that in my case, although the unit draws power, it is not writing to the internal sd card.

Assuming that’s in response to my post, if so, alas that’s not the case, if you squint you can see the motion events are also there, but if I go to the video playback and play it just after one of the gaps it says “ptz restart” on the screen. Plus the camera log entries say it’s restarted itself...
