Great review, I just ordered one from Best Buy for $59.99. I couldn't pass it up even with having the DB1 already. Can you provide the actual address you are using for the RTSP stream(s)?

Can you connect to it with Ivms?

The power kit shorts the contact to ring the mechanic I would try resetting the camera with the button on the side.

Power kit doesn’t do anything until you press the button. If you’re going to use it, I’d install it and test with it.

Mine worked with the transformer that was installed in my home. The power kit is what makes your mechanical chime ring. I would test with your current transformer to see if it will power the camera. If not get a 16vac 30va transformer for ~$20.

Interesting, I did not know there was a motion detection zone setting in the ezviz app. I must have missed it. The only option I get is "distance" which is assumedly PIR sensing.

I have played with it, however not extensively. Behavior doesn't seem to change with the options, outside of adjusting the motion detection within BI affecting that portion of it.

Wh What app are you using? It works for me in the ezviz app on iOS with that particular firmware.

I do from the BI motion algorithm. Nothing from the camera pir from what I can tell(they don't match with the app pir notifications.)

I did download the software from laview, and I also did the app from them with which it said that no upgrade was available for the firmware. I guess I will go ahead and flash it with iVMS to see what the difference in Blue Iris is. Will report back soon.

According to the app this is the latest FW from EZVIZ. I am unsure if ONVIF works. I would think that it does not, as I am not getting anything in Blue Iris(besides a video stream.) Is there a good was to test ONVIF? As far as the faceplates go, the EZVIZ camera does come with multiple...

The ezviz version works with rtsp out of the box. At least mine did when updated to the latest firmware(I didn’t try to connect before I upgraded it.)

I did go ahead and pick up a 16v 30va transformer that should arrive at the same time. My transformer is located in the basement, and is easily accessible. I will be tying into BI and Home Assistant. I’m hoping it all goes off without a hitch. I’ll report back once it’s in, or if I have issues.
