Thanks for the detailed breakdown. I've done a procedure that does _most_ of this -- I last plugged the camera's ethernet directly into the computer. I'll try again with a switch in between. Question: You specifically mention IE. I'm on a Mac/OSX. Is there a browser on Mac that should work, or... -

Yes, I'm making sure to try only one at a time. My home network is 10.0.0.*. From what I've read, the Dahuas come with a default of 192.168.1.108. I've tried setting up a closed 192.168.* network, as well, and that didn't produce any different results. -

tangent and mat200...y'all may be on to something. I am definitely seeing a device show up on my network when I plug the camera in via ethernet. A network tool (Fing) identifies it as an IP camera, as well (by MAC address, I'd guess). Also, I can ping the IP when the camera is plugged in, but... -
