Is this desktop a good choice to run BI for my setup?

Hi All, I read through the BI HW guide Choosing Hardware for Blue Iris and based on the more limited availability in Canada right now, am looking at the attached system. I'll be running 4x 4k cameras and 1x 2k. I don't expect I'll be adding more than 1-2 more down the road. Would these specs...

Can I flash Dahua NVR firmware onto Lorex NVR?

Hi All, The FTP service on my N862 is flaky and keeps dropping out after 12-36hrs on certain cameras and my snapshots aren't getting saved. Rebooting fixes the issue usually. Is there any way to flash different firmware onto the NVR to see if that helps? I really don't want to have to buy a PC...

Lorex fusion W261A WiFi camera - Onvif compatible? How to access directly

Thanks. It seems to have web access I just don't know what URL/port to use. If I just go to the camera's IP I get a 404 not found. So there is a web service running on it.

Lorex fusion W261A WiFi camera - Onvif compatible? How to access directly

I have a W261A indoor WiFi camera connected to my N862 NVR. It shows as an IP of 192.168.70.5. If I try and connect to that using port 35000 or 37777 I cannot connect. Does anyone know if these cameras are accessible over the LAN or do they need to be accessed via the NVR? I'm able to access my...

Flaky Lorex FTP service on N862 NVR - alternatives to copy snapshots to NVR?

Hi All, I have a Lorex N862 NVR and have the built-in FTP service setup to copy snapshots to my NAS so I have a alternate site to back them up in case someone steals the NVR. I have all 3 of my cameras' snapshots going to the NAS. The NVR is set to record snapshots 24/7. Problem is the FTP...

Help deciding between these two 4k Lorex systems or an alternative

Thanks again all for the replies. So based on what mat200 has mentioned it appears the kit with the LNB9232 looks to be the better of the cameras available from Lorex. 4K Ultra HD IP NVR System with 4 Outdoor 4K 8MP IP Cameras, 275FT Color Night Vision, Real-time recording I might just go with...

Help deciding between these two 4k Lorex systems or an alternative

Thanks. Is there any out of the box system on the market that would come with something that'll cover my needs? Looking for 2-4 cameras that have very good night vision and a quality NVR. Ideally a packaged system. Are there any brands other than Lorex or Dahua that might be worth considering...

Help deciding between these two 4k Lorex systems or an alternative

Thank you for the detailed response! In low to no light conditions, how many feet should I get out of these cameras to pickup wildlife? In all honesty this system will be more to see deer and possibly bear and wolves, so night vision is key.

Help deciding between these two 4k Lorex systems or an alternative

Hi There, I'm looking into getting a NVR system for my property. Really only need 2 cameras at the moment so I'm looking at 2-4 camera package. Mostly to monitor wildlife but also to add some security when not home. Good night vision is a main point I'm after to see wildlife!. I'm looking at...

    Lorex NR900 vs NR900X NVR

Hi, I'm looking at a new 4k nocturnal 4 cam lorex system. The one system seems to have better cameras but has the non X version of the NVR. Has anyone found out the differences between them? My main concern is fan noise as I've read complaints about the 9082. Is this still a concern or would...
