Plastic pipe to bury in yard as conduit for future wire pulls

I would wrap orange tape in a spiral fashion along the length of the pipe to indicate that the black pipe is used for signaling.

Could I end up with "too many" cameras? Consequences?

I have twenty-two plus cameras including PTZ’s installed on my property, they can be seen from the street all over my property. Since I installed my cameras, the drug traffic on my street is almost zero. Love making “at the darken of the street” is gone, that was good video. Drivers turn...

    Thieves took my DVR!

I have mounted deadbolt locks on both sides of the door that swings out into the garage. Lock both locks when you are away. Also, you can drive clevis pins into the hinge pins to keep them from being driven out.

    Thieves took my DVR!

I live on a dead-end street that ends in a hammer head turn-around. I too have noticed since some of my cameras are visible and point to the hammer head with others pointing along, in, and out of my property, people turn their headlights off, drive in the middle of the street, or turn around in...

    Thieves took my DVR!

Have we stopped using outside and inside 120 dB sirens and bells to alert our neighbors of unusable activates at our properties? May be this is not cool anymore.

Trying to find these interlogix cameras on my network

If I recall correctly. Open the camera and push the reset button (lower bottom right corner??). This will set the IP address to 192.168.1.70 and password to 1234. Log into your computer with that address, enter admin and password of 1234.

I changed contrast from 74 to 90 and this is what I got. It is the Sunshine State. I will play around with brightness to make it a shade lighter.

    If you

Have you considered using an enclosed POE box camera with a 100 - 120 mm zoom lens with a POE IR attached to the enclosure. I can read license plates over 100 feet away day or night.

Help with LPR settings ... Please!

I hope this comes out right, it is my first time sending a file. Look at what I did, it is a lot of trial and error. Now I am playing around with the sharpness. Looking for suggestions. I have my Raytec Illuminator set at 60% power.

Best way to power IR illuminators 250' or 500' away?

I used 12 AWG landscape wire for my run. Connected the run to a DC voltage converter. With the IR on, I measured 12.5VDC

Best way to power IR illuminators 250' or 500' away?

Run 24VAC for less line loss over that distant from a transformer, then use a 24VAC to 12VDC converter

What I have done is to get a piece of solid copper wire slightly larger than the hole diameter. After cleaning everything up, I work the wire into the hole, flux it, and solder it. The length of wire insert into the hole should be about the same as the thickness of the copper pipe wall. Those...

Honey, I think you are getting carried away.

The trick is to buy your wife something very expensive. You got to make your wife feel guilty. Show her a picture of a cheap camera on Ebay for $12 and ask her if you can buy it. She will say “yes dear”, then order the one you want.

How much did your system cost you?

After my wife read my posts about my outdoor exercising activities to aid me in fighting this cameras-itis disease and seeing a new $100 6x6x16 foot virgin pole that sprung up in our yard out of nowhere that I could not explain, I told her she knew I was outdoors for long periods of time and...
