    blue iris wont start

Right on yeah, my problem was I couldn’t even install so the updates were useless to me. I needed the full installer to work from the get. I should have stated more clearly, I was able to find several archived updates, but those would have only done me good if I had a bootable version of the...

    blue iris wont start

Finally figured it out, hope this helps someone in the future. If you’re ever reinstalling BI or a brand new install on a new PC and it won’t go past the splash screen, it appears it was the current version available for download at https://www.blueirissoftware.com didn’t want to install on my...

    blue iris wont start

Was just curious if there was an updated troubleshooting thread for this issue. I’m not having any error codes but just built a new PC for BI specifically and the software just won’t start. Last thing I see is the splash screen that says “Creating Window” then it just goes away and nothing...

    New update bug?

Does anyone know what port or protocol is used to send these jpeg images with the push notifications?

    New update bug?

So now I'm dealing with a new problem I was hoping for a little guidance on. I recently switched routers in the past week or so and since, I've noticed everything is working wonderfully with the exception of the jpg snapshots that are sent with alert notifications. I get the snapshot perfectly...

    New update bug?

I can't seem to find a previous version to 5.0.6.11 anywhere and was wondering if anyone might have one archived that they would share? My search hasn't been fruitful. Please? haha Thanks!

    New update bug?

So I updated tonight to 5.0.6.11 x64 and my motion alerts are now using the short name “Cam4” for the alert image pushed to my devices instead of the friendly name “Front Door”. Has anyone else noticed this or know how to solve it? I know it’s nit picky, but it’s bugging me to no end. TIA

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

Indeed. They are running standalone and the defaults have been changed. I'll look into it more tomorrow since I have to be to work in 6 hours. I'll keep y'all posted with what I find for sure. Thanks again.

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

I did check the admin interface of the cameras and they appear to be setup legit. Unifi video isn't running, but I'll have to check if there's still data being received on ports 13-16 on the switch for the 4 cameras when BI is shut down. I didn't think to check that. Thanks for the perspective...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

I only watch a very few times throughout the day on the app. I can concur that I was inviting trouble using port 80 apparently. I've changed the port and it looks like in the connections tab there were never any unknown connections with any "time" or "frames" logged in. That said, I still have a...

Fair enough, well now the connections tab is blank because I pulled the server when I found this activity. I'll give it some time and post back when something pops up.Thanks @fenderman =)

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

It's a screenshot of the remote login showing a Polish IP address in my very first post. It's not an attachment. My cameras are local, store video here, and don't send data anywhere unless someone is requesting it, via the web server. Is there anything else I can provide to help get to the...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

Technically I have 3 users, myself, my wife, and my mother. My wife I could setup our local subnet, our WAN, and Sprint subnet...but how will that change if I'm on my work wifi, or my wife is at the doctors office on their wifi. It just won't let us in and we have to switch to mobile data to...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

So here is my screenshot. Looks like it's in the web server tab. Mines blank. I probably have something setup wrong, but I just need to get to the bottom of it. I'm not blaming Blue Iris whatsoever...FWIW, I don't remember ever changing ANY settings on this page, but it appears some stuff is set...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

My cameras are local to my network, all UVC-G3 UBNT cams. I posted the log entry above, but have plenty more where that came from. If you look at the bottom of my first post, it shows first my routers DPI deep packet inspection graph showing way abnormal bandwidth. Second is a screenshot of the...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

I do not have an "anonymous" under users. Only myself, my wife, and my mother with check marks next to them. I unchecked the "local_console" account for now trying to determine if that was how they were getting in, but it made no difference. Are you positive the Users tab is where anonymous is...

    Blue Iris Chewing Through Bandwidth

So I recently got popped last month by my ISP for using double my allotted data for the month. After looking around and seeing other threads about this that essentially went unsolved or unreported as solved, I dug in deeper. What I found I can barely explain, but I'm wondering if its a security...
