Yes, its Chinese, I bought it from same guy I bought the last three cameras (different models to this one), they all came with password 12345 and had to change them to Strong passwords. No option on this one. This one shows a firmware of V5.3.9 150910. Cant even find this version on Hikvision site.

Yes, it says it failed. Have just emailed Support@Hikvision the xml file in the hope they'll help me. No reply yet though.

Hi, tried 12345abc, still not accepted. Manual says it comes without password and needs activating, but just goes to normal log in screen, with User and Password.

Hi, you need to change the settings in your iPhone Notifications from Alerts to Banners. That will pop up and then disappear without touching it.

I too have a DS-2CD2532F-IS , I downloaded 5.3.0 from Europe website and added language hack and upgraded. Upgrade completed, SADP can see the camera, but I cannot access it via web interface or NVR. Are you saying the downgrade tool will not work on this camera?
