Problem with PTZ settings in BI

    Empire Andy NVR

Just keep in mind that as I mentioned, it should accept the video feed, but if there are any other features that you might be using (looking at it quickly, they appear to be basic cameras) it might not pull all of the extra stuff. But the plus thing about going with EmpireTech's NVR is then...

    Camera location/type query

Yeah, people are adamant in their opinion LOL.....and some in those threads that are NVR lovers have since switched over to BI....those in the BI camp haven't switched back to the NVR LOL. Keep in mind building a PC from scratch is overkill. An i7-8th gen for $150 off ebay is more than enough.

New Setup Thoughts: Blue Iris or NVR

Yes, if you bought cameras from Andy, then they will work with an NVR he sells. This is your thread, so you can continue the discussion here to keep it all in one place or start a new thread.

Need your feedback for these two Empire NVRs

Most here will recommend the 5xxx series.

    New to security cams

Let us guess, you got the 8MP version... Make all camera settings within the camera, not the NVR. Here is how you should be accessing the cameras: To get into the camera GUI from the NVR, you need to first access the NVR GUI by going to a computer and opening up a browser (preferably Internet...

Can't access camera's after factory reset

You will probably find that Dahua will tell you to ask the installer... You now need to factory reset each camera manually. Open up the SD card slot and press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds and wait for the camera to show up before doing the next one. I would probably...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.5

As luck would have it, it is working now LOL. I forget, this means it is using the on-board GPU (I thought it said iGPU before but I am not positive)?

No, the other versions have installed fine and the log was clear. Going to do the upgrade from current version to new version now and see what happens.

No, it all looked good. I even did the uninstall, delete the directories, and loaded fresh and still didn't work. Now that you are around I will try again.

    Empire Andy NVR

Best advice is to match NVR brand with camera brand to ensure full functionality. Sure you may be able to get the video feed from a different brand camera into the NVR, but any advanced features like AI or motion detection or any other analytics the camera has may not be recognized by the NVR...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.5

@MikeLud1 - I updated to 2.6.2 today and my computer doesn't like it. The YOLOv5.net shows not configured to Autostart and when I do start it, it shuts down. The ALPR (not shown here as I deleted it and rolling back to 2.5.6) wouldn't run either, even though it showed started.

    Malware in EmpireTech IPC-Color4K-T webplugin.exe

My point exactly!!! Just because antivirus flags it, doesn't mean it is a virus. Until the little program you wrote is used by 20 million people, it will show as a virus by some software.

Help with initialisation of empiretech cameras?

Dahua NVRs typically don't come with a HDD. When I click on the link, it only shows a picture of an NVR and a HDD, but no text that is written to confirm it comes with it? I could take that as either it comes with the HDD or it is capable of that drive size. Many items are advertised with...

    Malware in EmpireTech IPC-Color4K-T webplugin.exe

Please keep poking LOL. It is the only way we all learn and grow. You gotta remember, there are a bunch of us that are paranoid and run so many programs and sniffers and other things to keep our system safe. If someone saw these plug-ins doing something nefarious, we would see posts about it...

    Malware in EmpireTech IPC-Color4K-T webplugin.exe

Of course anti-virus programs will flag .exe files that are not mainstream program files. Heck many of us here use Blue Iris and it gets flagged by anti-virus programs.... And others in this thread have shown that the actual files in that .exe file pass VirusTotal scans. There are plenty of...

Help with initialisation of empiretech cameras?

Channels are number of cameras, not for real time viewing. So a 4 channel NVR can support 4 cameras and you can real time view. Unless of course you get a cheapo crappy NVR with low bandwidth and decoding capacity.

Image flickering when WDR is turned on

Remember that we are not going for a photography ribbon at the County Fair and a nice bright static image means nothing. A 20ms shutter will result in motion blur. In terms of getting the most out of the camera, here is my "standard" post that many use as a start for dialing in day and night...
