Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

Of course! If you have another need for it then you certainly have to have it running.

Yes. 100%. Way easier than keeping a VM running that takes up resources.

And this is why being able to change the User-Agent is important, especially to people like me who are Apple based and can not use IE.

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

The term you're looking for is User-Agent and just about every major browser (either through a built in function or extension) has a way to change it to be recognized as a different browser for an incompatible webpage. Yes, I agree that it's pretty unacceptable that I have to do this in order to...

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

I think every camera needs tweaking out of the box, so that’s normal. I’ve been reading on both threads about this camera having tracking, then being removed, and now it’s back?

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

What's the scoop with this? Does it actually work without jumping through some hoops? I have been wanting to add an external PTZ camera with tracking to cover the area beyond what the statics see and to be able to zoom in on people/objects/animals.

    SD49225XA-HNR Anyone have one?

Correction. I just saw that auto-tracking has indeed been removed. Could this camera simply not handle it?

    Full System Upgrade

I haven't been on here in a minute and I figured I'd give an update as to how this system was doing. Literally zero problems except for the glare issue at the front door camera that I posted about in another thread. Just the nature of that camera and the sun and it's not really a "problem." The...

    SD49225XA-HNR Anyone have one?

So what's the consensus so far with its auto-tracking capabilities? My static cameras cover everything that needs to be seen within their capabilities, but I wouldn't mind something that has the ability to track and zoom into an object. Since completing my install in the summer I've had the...

    Never Forget....18 years later

I visited the memorial and museum back in June, and it is a somber, hauntingly-chilling experience. It's a must do for anyone who finds themselves in NYC. The hotel we stayed at in the financial district was a very short walk away from the WTC, and I couldn't help but think of what people were...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Yep. No change on my end either. In addition, I had to set the IVS parameters on channel 1 through the NVR. Not ideal, but that was my only workaround. Channel 2 isn't available whatsoever in the IVS parameters. I can click on it, but nothing even comes up.

    IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M

I updated it last night and I didn’t notice any change. IVS still seems to be unavailable for channel 2 unless I’m missing something.

Same here. No luck whatsoever getting camera #2 to do anything with IVS via directly through the camera, NVR, or otherwise.

    sms alert delayed 3 minutes

Correct, but I would guess that could translate over to other platforms in case someone gets a rejected message.

    sms alert delayed 3 minutes

I had an issue with AT&T rejecting the MMS message from Gmail when it sent a snapshot because the file was too big. Setting the image quality down to "3" for when an event is triggered fixed the problem.

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

My first thought was to take the camera apart and mess with it, so maybe I'll give that a go. I did some testing yesterday by putting a piece of cardboard up over it as a sun shield and it seemed to help with the problem fairly quickly. It looks to be a combination of glare and sun heat that...

Here's what I found that was from 6 years ago involving a Dahua mini dome. Different camera, same problem. Focusing dahua 2mp mini dome

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Directly from Andy Also, I need to find that other thread regarding a similar problem with fixed focal length cameras and the sun. I recall someone coming to the conclusion that the sensor was shifting as it heated up. It doesn't take much to throw an image out of focus.

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

I also adjusted it to its current position after I noticed it starting to go blurry. There used to be more of the wall on the left in the frame than the right, but it didn't make any difference. These cameras are fixed focus (and no autofocus) with a very large field of view, so for it to make...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Brand spanking new. We tried it in corridor mode and it sees too much sky. Where it's positioned now it gets to the top of the head of someone just over 6ft tall and it's a very nice shot of their face. Very easy to identity. We also tried the 3.6 and it was too narrow for that little cove that...

But yours is still sharp at least 10ft out. Mine goes completely soft past about 1ft once the sun gets to it. Mine was doing great all day long until the sun position changed enough to hit it directly for about 3 hours a day staring at 9:15am and ending around 12:15pm. I'm running a full time...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

I’ve run it with and without the dome to see if it was part of the problem (same result), and WDR is always running because of the white walls. The still frame I posted was taken after it had gone back into the shadow as evident by the near wall that it’s on. It will return to normal...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

I know this isn't the official thread for this camera, but it since it is one regarding the use of this camera at the front door I think it's worth mentioning that I'm having some major heat related focus shift problems. My front door faces south, and while I did my best to minimize its exposure...

    Mini-PTZ Give-Away Qontest

My hope for the coming year - That my cameras never have to capture any suspicious activity from the two-legged creatures. Four or more legs and wings are fine by me, because that's entertainment. Cats are more than suspicious on their own. I don't need to throw the human kind into the mix. Oh...

It's official - ALL OF THE CAMERAS ARE MOUNTED AND RUNNING! Well that was a marathon. I'm not 100% done, but the task of getting them up and going is now complete! My wife and I pulled all of the cable through the conduit system without any problems. I think it took us about 4 hours (with a...
