Excellent question Jim! Hopefully someone will know the answer.

Would anyone know how general cameras maintain their set up without power? Do they have a battery? Is their default factory generally setup in the firmware? Just trying to determine how long a camera will maintain its settings in storage.

I have several Dahua cameras that I have activated and now have them in storage for future use. Would anyone know how the cameras save the passwords, etc? Will they lose their set up over a period of a year or two if they do not have power? Please advise. Thank you.

Looney I studied and did not learn too much. I do know the DH-SD2204UE-GN, which is advertised as a starlight camera, works well with very good low light color. Interestingly the earlier model SD2204T-GN board with the same board as Tom's picture has the same low light color performance.
