SFTP is more secure but more overhead so a little slower. NAS is much faster as long as you set trust within your network, that is the only thing that is securing your setup. -

Yes if you search. These are 2MP but with 1/1.6" sensor. The sensor are huge and collect lots of light. If you been reading on this forum, they are the real dark fighter. Don't get taken in by megapixel. And yes they are poe ipcam. And yes they are also varifocal. These new were 500 each. -

I understand your need. Not everyone has the same need. You make do with what you have. If it can't manage, get rid of it and buy what is needed. Oh well, I can't complain about my camera. It does what i need with some workaround but for the price point I can't complain. That is odd. That feature was there from the beginning for my camera. Could they have taken that function out for certain cameras? Unless there is some hidden menu, I am not sure why yours do not have that options. Sorry I can't help more.- hieppo

I am not sure what model your camera. Did you flash to a later version of the firmwate? Herospeed Try to find your model and see if there is a newer firmware. Make sure it matches the same name as what is in you System Configuration information. You should see the name of the current firmware...- hieppo

You need to do two things. 1. Under Configuration/Video, set to StreamType to Main Stream only 2. Under Configuration/Network/Advance Setup/FTP, set up your FTP information and select AVI This will allow you to sending the high res video to your FTP server. I have cameras made by Longse/Herospeed as well. Herospeed is what provide the firmware, 3516D_IMX335_B1T0A1M0C1P1_W_9.1.52.2. It is a HiSilicon 5MP turret cam. The interface is the same as yours.
