To add to BI's wishlist: Be able to access preset 95 instead of only 1-20. Patch in the registry doesn't seem to work. This way, camera internal options could be set through BI and external script (jsonBI). For exemple auto-selecting shutter speeds for night/day...etc

OK will do. Another bug: Have you noticed that Sharpness usable range is 0-5? 6-100 does not increase sharpness any more. I am using 3. I find the default 50 much too sharp for my taste. (If setting it at 0 shows the actual IQ from the sensor, its very bad by the way...)

How would you design such a motorization? I certainly would'nt rely on timings to achieve accuracy in positionning. So the other alternative would be servomotors. But I am not sure analog servomotors would lead to such an accuracy... We will see over time when temperature and other elements...

If they are steppers motors (which is obviously the case), speed depends upon firmware. Who knows we are currently at maximum speed (allowed by hardware)??

Having exactly the same issue. Moisture entered inside connector, despite of the fact I used the provided protective cap and rubber seals. Contacts 2 and 3 were blackened by moisture. POE not working any more. But camera does work with external 12V supply. Seems to me not enough gold on...

Sorry if I misunderstand you....but: On the camera, yes. But not necessarily using IE to access the camera firmware. You can set presets in BI by holding down the "goto preset" button for more than one second (which seems very short to me by the way... two or even three seconds would have been...

No need to set the presets on the camera. This can be done on BI exactly as described in the help file :peaceful: Adding more presets seems to work also. No need to go back to regedit.

In case anybody wants to know. This is working with: - Windows 8.1: update 4.2.2.5 - Windows XP-SP3: updates 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.5 I wonder if it works with the official release as well... Thanks djangel!! This is awesome.

I was thinking of external program(s) using JSON interface (many thanks Ken!) and presets to focus automatically on offending area. BI beeing unattended, triggers could be external PIR, barriers, etc... Sort of basic tracking. When getting to selected preset, it could have spared a few seconds...

One question: According to the spec, focus can be either auto or manual. When manual, is the value stored in the presets? Different presets, different values...

Thanks for the reply reeves1985. I am confused. Looking at the youtube clip (post #43), it appears that SD card is supported. On all events, storage is possible on a SD card in the "normal linkage" section. See 4:08 for instance. The fact that there is no detected HDD (clip at 5:27) only...
