I was playing with the bitrate after it started having problems, had it much lower. I'll change it back. Disabled smart codec and i can actually see the recordings now! The FPS/Key is now 10/.50 while all my other cameras are 10/1.0, strange. Not sure how it changed, or why it was hit and miss...

Recording to hd. Worked fine for months. Then it would randomly stop recording in Blue Iris. Just put a sd card in last night, I’ll check tomorrow, been a crazy day.

I don’t use cards in any of my cameras, so I don’t have a bad one in it. I will put one in it now and let it run for awhile and see if I can pull the video. Thanks for the idea!

I pulled it last weekend and have had it sitting on my desk and nothing has changed. My switch went out three weeks ago and it’s been replaced, but the camera was having problems before that. So new cable and switch and still having problems. Thanks for replying!

I cut it just wide enough to cover the base mount, stuck it under the lip of the eaves and siliconed it in place. Stays put and is easy to move.

No problem. I realize it my not work for everyone, but it worked great for me. The main problem I had was finding pieces of sheet aluminum to cut. Finally found a sheet metal place that did custom gutters and bought a scrap sheet.

This is what I did. Just paint it to blend in and can be easily moved.

Mount camera to a piece of sheet aluminum/metal cut to fit in the corner and silicone ( if you don’t want to use screws) or screw it in place. Can paint to match. Easy to move if you don’t like placement.

WDR definitely on the list. Haven’t really thought about having 2 cameras. I’m leaning towards the IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE right now. If that doesn’t work out I can use it to oversee some construction thats about to start.
