Hey sorry I am just now responding. I can not manually trigger the camera, however I can manually start a video recording. When I did this the video I manually recorded saved on my blueiris. I have the stream up and going on my blueiris, the problem is it does not record video when triggered.

Thanks for the input but its still not recording for me. Another thing I did not mention. Audio is not playing on blue iris. However on the guarding vision app I hear audio and can pull up recorded events. I have attached the trigger and record tabs below

I have a NSC-DB2 door bell camera. I have added the camera to my blue iris and can see the video feed but it does not record video alerts when triggered. I have provided screen shots of my settings. I could really use some help I have tried researching the solution but came up empty.

It was definitely the day to night settings. I updated the settings and it worked until day light savings changed and then it was all messed up again. I updated the schedule again and it has been working flawlessly every since. Thanks for the help.

Ok I manually adjusted the camera angle and think I got it in the sweet spot

I completely agree. I need to move the camera up slightly, adjust the shield, and I was also thinking about rotating the camera a little bit so that more of the road is in view.

I matched the I-frame and FPS to 25 and then added 2 seconds of pre-buffer and that fixed it! The video starts recording right before the car came into frame so I backed it down to 1 second pre-buffer and its perfect! Thanks for that quick help

My I frame interval was at 30. I tried changing to a higher number and it still won't let me go past 25fps. I updated my settings I'll let you know.

Based on the road and planned camera position, the camera will be capturing LP approximately 40-60ft away. Would the IPC-HFW5442E-Z4E provide a better image to allow for LPR while not being zoomed in as much as the IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E? So basically I would have a larger field of vision?

Sybertiger, you think the IPC-B5442E-ZE is better than the IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E? The 4MP over the 2MP but you loose the 60mm zoom?
