Need help with placement of Camera

What I have been doing is what my buddy suggested for me to do and how he started... set up the camera via it's web interface and use a single port POE injector, temporarily mount the camera to a piece of spare wood about a foot long and setup iVMS-4500 on my phone to obtain the view from the...

Need help with placement of Camera

I don't have the 2132, but thought it was similar to the turret and mini-dome that I have been testing with in that the camera rotates in the housing and therefore you can adjust it without flipping the image in the software. Similar to this type of movement: Not sure if you can obtain some...

Need help with placement of Camera

To get rid of having to flip the picture, rotate the physical camera and face the section of missing LEDs surrounding the lens downwards.

Swann system or peice together my own?

The higher MP cameras, should in theory, provide a higher quality captured video and therefore better quality stills during motion detection. You may or may not notice a difference when live viewing to your phone, tablet or computer monitor, but when playing the recorded video or viewing the...

IVMS-4500 Removed from Apple App Store

I haven't read any updates and I checked this morning and the app still isn't available. That being said, I'm certainly not an authoritative source, so I'm sure things are being worked on, just not sure where to turn for updates. It's not fair to bash Apple as the affected app developers are...

IVMS-4500 Removed from Apple App Store

If there's already another thread, then let's condense them. Wasn't sure where to post this info, but wanted to share. I took a quick look, but didn't see anything on Hikvision's website about the app. Curious what to do? I'll remove the app from my phone for now.

IVMS-4500 Removed from Apple App Store

I can't find the app in the Apple App store within the US and when I follow weblinks, the app store says it's been removed so it seems that it was indeed affected by the Xcode Malware. Other than this tweet, I can't find any other info... anyone else? Curious as to next steps... remove the...

    HIKvision NVR

I hope the OP doesn't mind, but I think what he is asking is the same sort of question that I have... if there is already a POE switch or POE injector with X number of connected cameras on the network, would an NVR see those cameras? Or a simpler form of the question... would the NVR see...
