    I'm a potential customer for this product, what I would like to know is if a BI/sentry subscription is capable of taking a PTZ camera with no autotracking and tracking humans with it by using the PTZ controls of the camera?

    If the DVR cannot see it on the camera list then you have a network problem most likely related to the IP address used. IF the DVR can see it (ie not a manual settings job) then you have a username/password issue.

    HIKvision DVR and cheap Chinese 30x PTZ dome

    I've got a Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2 and a cheap ($120 US) 30x no brand PTX 1080P dome camera off ebay. The dome camera was a bit of a toy really as iI've got HIKvision 5mp fixed cameras dotted around doing the donkey work. Dome is much better quality than I expected from the hardware side...
