    google came up with this one DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW firmware is down the bottom with note Firmware_V5.8.6_240124 but while looking down the list of compatible cameras my brain goes haywire and I am never sure if mine is on the list so any help would be greatly appreciated

    well I was just using Avast till I got spyboy Trojan:Win64/Spyboy!MSR threat description - Microsoft Security Intelligence than I ran my malwarebytes but when that did not take care of it I asked on bleepingcomuter and they recommended running ESET online scanner which did remove spyboy

    I wonder if I have to buy the paid version to to allow those files to run? wiping it out and doing a clean install will take days with all the licenses there are on this computer.
