THanks will give it a try. I dont think I changed it. I tried the verification code and it seems to think that is to short of a password 6 characters long. Ill try the reset but I wondered if I was wrong about verification or if it was the varification code twice or something like that.

It changes BOTH the SSID and the password, but what is the default for the password I tried ezviz_XXXXXX but it wont work. Its not just the confirm code either because thats not long enough. I tried upper case EZVIZ and the app does not like that. So anyway I cant set it back up in the app till...

Yeah when you first setup the camera is turns on image encryption right from the start and Ive forgotten a few times to tun it off.

If I turn on either WDR or BLC my batch config app crashes saying error code with a dll file. I tried to screen capture it but its so fast and then batch config crashes.. Anyone else have that happen?

DO you see the image in any of the other areas? Like in the image section. I bet you have image encryption turned on in the ezviz app.

Yes I have tried the client app and it works for setting motion detection but live view never works whats worse is i cant see any of the recordings either and it has a few recordings from the motions detection. I can't figure what it could be because i have reset all the settings on the camera...

Went ahead and did an update on synology to DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 the latest available. I figured that might help with the live view/motion detection area for the Ezviz DB1 and its the same. Very odd. I know this has to do with resolution somehow.

I flashed back to hikvision firmware like before and onvif is working but still synology will not allow me to set the motion detection area. It will say activating or just be a black screen. I was able to edit the motion detection area in batch config tool. Do you know if it actually uses that...

So ALexa works with hikvision firmware interesting. I did not notice that it works, I guess Ill have to play around with that also.

Yeah its good to hear from you. Glad you had success with the onvif support under synology, it all has to do with firmware, i think HIKvisions is the best firmware obviously its there device. I reset my settings last night and plan to go back to hikvision firmware from ezviz eu version. Awesome...

Oh man Ive been flashing all day without an issue. Yikes.. I am still stuck with no detection but my resolution is now correct at 2048x1536 at 22fps. Thats odd. how do I reset all the settings with batch config?

I went ahead and flashed the EZVIZ firmware 200220 and Im in the same boat as before, can not look at the camera stream in synology and can not set detection area. What does your camera report as the resolution? Mine says 800x600 I think thats the issue.
