ipod thin between window shade indoor

Right now I use an old ipod touch and web-of-cam with BI to look out a window in a location where I cannot route cat5e, and cannot mount anything outside. I can get power there. (I know this is a suboptimal setup to begin with. ) I want to replace the ipod with some type of wifi cam...
