Is this designed to be an ANPR camera?

It will read a plate as part of metadata like other #7 cams do, but like them doesn't provide the data in the same way as an ITC model to the backend NVR/VMS.
It looks like the idea is to have a zoomed in view to make a better go of analytics whilst having an overview stream as well, without resorting to two cameras.

Thanks for sharing the videos!

How does Smart Plan work. Can you have separate Smart Plans for the channels, IE IVS on Chan 1 and video metadata on channel 2?

Interesting it doesn't run the "new" blue GUI that's available for the current 7-series.

Bonus question,
In the Nvr firmware 4.xx2 there is a new AI-Parameter called Traffic Density. Does this camera support it? If yes, would you mind doing s video of that too?
Judging by the name it sounds like a heat map for traffic, would be kewl to see it in action.

Just watching the footage, the metadata vehicle description info appears much more accurate than my ITC237, but then again, I assume the footage was taken in Hong Kong where the algorithm was tested, hence the accuracy. My 2021-07-19 firmware pulls a lot of Tatamotors and Daihatsu vehicle descriptions.

@Billyjack5 sounds like you you don't have the right firmware for your region.
When I got my ITC I tried a few FWs before in I found the right for my region.

But, my 7442 running video metadata is better to classify vehicle models.

I assume I have the US firmware that came pre-installed when I bought it from Andy. The plate recognition is great, it's just the vehicle type and description that's lacking. There's a newer firmware version that Wildcat_1 is testing that I'm waiting to hear about. Unless what came pre-installed isn't the US firmware. Again, I'm using Andy's ITC237-PW6M-IRLZF, not the 7 series. If I don't have the correct region firmware I'd love to get the correct one.

You probably have the right one, I'm in northern Europe and also got my camera from Andy, the same model as you, and it was mot friends with the plates we have here. The plate recognition was great but country classification of the plates was completely wrong.

Hopefully the new FW will make the camera perform better.

Exciting update of the 7-series! Will be interesting to see if there are new features vs. today's 7-series.

Not as excited of the small sensor though, odd choice to go with the 1/2,7" in such a premium model (?).

Edit: noted now channel 1 was 1/1,7".

Because I have never seen 1/1.7" 4MP CMOS
The correct CMOS can be found out from the hwid code.

Where are you reading the HW ID From? Is there a utility for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
