I just got a Hikvision DS-2CD2542FWD-IS (4MP mini-dome) with FW version 5.4.1 build 160525, Encoding V7.3 build 000525.
I am recording video to internal SD card based on motion detection. That part works OK.
BUT, if I also select saving still frames (Device Management/Remote Config/Event/Motion/Upload Picture to FTP) and (Record Schedule/Local Recording/Capture Schedule:Event Template) then the video flashes to white (overexposed) at the moment that every still frame is captured, making it pretty much unusable.
This seems like a firmware bug to me. Has anyone else seen this, and is there any solution? If I turn off the still frame recording, then it doesn't happen, but it is useful to have still frames.
