4 trouble makers in my hood

Hey guys,
I am new to ipcamtalk, also super new to security cameras.
I've managed to get a Dahua IP camera system and install it, and surprisingly I captured something the next early morning.

Four guys causing trouble in my neighborhood. At 3:30 AM they were disturbing my neighbor's house. So my camera's caught the entire event.
I've learned how to download the video, it's in (DAV) format, it's almost 2T in size.
So my question is, how do I just capture a small clip from this DAV file and save it as MP4 or AVI, so I can share with my neighbour?

I am green to this, any help/steps would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a Dahua NVR, download SmartPSS and use it to connect to your NVR for playback and downloading clips. It allows you to export in MP4

You can also trim the size of the clips with SmartPSS.
