512 Channel System for Hikvision 6MP @ 30fps?

Trying to figure out how I can get a 512 channel system that can support 500 hikvision cameras running at around 25-30fps, all of them are 6MP...

I was hoping to achieve this with a single server but I don't think it's possible.

Our hikvision rep came back with a discontinued product (HikCentral-P-VSS-Base/HW/300Ch) which supports 300 channels then requires additional licenses for the remaining channels along with the DS-A83024S (24 bay storage)

Does anyone know of any other system like a VMS that can handle 512 channels that won't be outrageously expensive?

last 2 are the same software under 2 different brands, historically they were without recurring fees (one time fee like 150-200 USD per camera) but they are now changing business model..

ps. even trying to run 500 channel system on one server is laughable. You need 2-3 servers in some form of active-slave configuration... in case of malfunction you losing recording of 500 Chanels (as I understand they don't have secondary sd card in all cameras).

I don't think this is proper forum for question about installations big like that. IPVM.com is much more suitable for that - but this service require subscription.

I presume Hikvision would have a server capable of 512 channels.

Dahua sell the DSS7016D-S2, which can accept up to 1,000 channels. Or more channels with multi units in distributed mode.

for who this system is done (multiple locations company? or City monitoring?)

does this system exists (500 cams)?

if yes what is actual VMS / NVR solution for it?

if not (it's theoretical / budgeting question) why you simply don't ask PRO CCTV companies from Your country with history of doing systems big like that?

ps. actual HIK solution is it's dell server + preinstalled OS and Hik central + license..

You can buy big bulk license from HIK and put installation on Your hardware..

I think Nx Witness would be the way to go too but I was trying to find some written confirmation on the channel limit, read some conflicting information on their website (e.g v5.x.x can have a maximum of 128 channels, v6.x.x can have a maximum of 256). Thankfully our license price is closer to ~$65 USD with project pricing.
I'd give IPVM a go but unfortunately a bit out of time but I will keep it in mind for next time, thank you!

The Dahua products were something I was looking at and are a nice solution but nobody here in this land of ours girt by sea seems to stock it (at least the big distributors like Seadan or CRK).

It is a high end residential apartment building, system will exist just not yet :)
No current solution as it is a new development nearing completion.
Yes, I have asked around with a quite a few customers but most haven't done anything this size yet or if they have, nothing with the amount of storage required - can't really ask our competitors either (we're a security distributor)...

The solution I was provided from our Hikvision partner came directly from Hikvision as they weren't sure either.

A trusted member @EMPIRETECANDY sells Dahua OEM all over the world, and we have plenty of members here from Australia that purchase from him.
I think legally we need the products to have the RCM symbol on the stickers to sell them to security installers (1743746020125.png) - not sure this would be found on the models Andy would offer.

Yes, I tried a few authorised distributors as we mostly buy from them as a subdistributor but most either cannot get any or will take 1-3 months to order the parts in.

I think I am now going to scrap the whole HIK/Dahua based system and just go with a custom built server with a bunch of HDDs
