I have neighbors who moved in where the previous owners left their NVR for 2 cameras on the house. They don't have a TV in the room with the NVR and they don't have a monitor at this time. Do most people use a TV or monitor for the NVR or is it common to access/operate it from your LAN? I want to help them get their cameras operating, just wanted to know some options. Maybe getting a monitor would be their easiest solution. Thanks for your input.

I access my Dahua NVR with both methods. Hopefully, they left your neighbor with passwords.

Good point, I'm using Blue Iris so I'm not very familiar with the nvr's. I'm pretty sure I can get in touch with my previous neighbors if we need to. This would be passwords to cameras & nvr?
