I already have 3 HBD4300Cs. I love their form factor, they're a great size.

One is a courtyard, that I think would benefit from being an IR camera. https://drive.google.com/a/andc.co.nz/file/d/1nQrQVPMPpA_cMlVOCtPdbmyDQhTFRFom0Q/view?usp=sharing

This is from this morning. It's daytime coverage is great.

I have this one as well, but think it's probably covering too large an area to benefit from inbuilt IR

So with that in mind what camera would you recommend. I've seen discussions on the 4431 and 4421. But what derivative, there seems for be a C and S model. Given I like the done ones, which one is that?

Cheers. I'd probably re-purpose one of of my existing to a back yard...not that it would pick up much as it's too dark, but good for daytime.

You want the C model, the S ones have a sucky bug attracting IR ring.. they are turrets not domes.

4432 vs 4421 is h264 and h265 support on the former, only h264 on latter.. if your recorder does not support that format (h265) then it really wont be any different I dont think.

ps: your links dont work

so is that all the difference is? Is there something set up somewhere that lists the differences between the models?

you need to make the documents public.. im not giving you my email address and asking for permission.
Sorry, never noticed what it's default setting was, and it was only my domain.

Having trouble decyiphering the model numbers. Is the "R" or with the case of the 4300C - the "C" the location of the original firmware? So I can safely igore that?

All of these seem to specify IR 30m....and I've just checked my IPC-HDB4300CP and it doesn't. So I hope I'm looking at the right thing.
