Is it possible to set an autoexposure bias, such that auto-exposure still works, but the image is X amount darker than usual, so you get the advantage of a faster shutter speed? This is a standard feature on still cameras, but I'm not sure if it's available on the Dahua controls. I see color/brightness/contrast but that is simply a post-processing effect, I'm talking about changing the exposure parameters (shutter speed + gain). I know about full manual settings but I'd like it to self-adjust to different lighting conditions.
The reason I ask: due to some local issues that have come up from time to time, I'd like to be able to see who's going by. I have a HDW4431C with 16mm lens looking directly across the road. In full daylight, if the window is not tinted, I can often get some glimpse of the drivers face, but if the day is even a little cloudy, cars driving by around 25 mph look blurry; see example below. Even a one stop faster shutter speed might make the photo more useful.
