AI detection at night

Hi all, I have a hikvision ds 2332 IR turret camera 2mp. In the day time it seems to alert on people, cars and motion.

However at night time is does not pick up the motion , nor people.

I have the AI sensitivity set to high. I have zone crossing B>C setup and the whole drive way as Zone A for motion. All 3 zones ticked in AI.

i assume it is the poor quality image at night this old camera gives, however the IR is good and looking at live view it should pick the motion and person.

motion object detection is set to size 250 and contrast 25 . Analyse 2 images every 250s.

Pc is elite desk g3 i5 7500 with 8gb RAM.

Any ideas what could be the issue or what I can change.

Night and B/W images can be problematic. It usually comes down to trying to do too much with the field of view and usually not enough contrast between the background and moving objects.

So spend some time working on the image parameters to try to make the moving object more obvious and that is usually working with the contrast.

Or switch to color.
