Anyone know who makes their cameras? Couldn't find anything here or with Google. (They're not for me.)
Possibly Sercomm? They made IP cameras for ADT, AT&T, xFinity and more so maybe they did so for alarm.com.Anyone know who makes their cameras? Couldn't find anything here or with Google. (They're not for me.)
No, I don't have any. Church got quote from them. I'm an outsider trying to evaluate quote. Without knowing anything about Alarm.com, I'm suspicious of company specifying system and selling proprietary equipment. It's like getting financial advice from a company that sells different types of investments. You know they are going to recommend their own stuff, regardless of whether it is good or not.
Anyone know if yearly (?) fee paid to Alarm.com is required to enable equipment? That is, if you don't pay annual fee, does your equipment stop working? Wondering if they have special FW? Not sure what annual fee is for but it's not a small number.
As I stated in post #3, Sercomm made IP cameras for ADT, AT&T, xFinity and more so maybe they did so for alarm.com.Hi, does anyone know if alarms.com cameras will work with blue iris software? I want to add new cameras but don't want to be tied to their systems. So if i can use their cameras and setup blue iris that would be ideal instead of replacing all the cameras installed by alarms.com.
I see, I will need to check. It has an interface on a dvr and can be accessed through a phone app. It’s my neighbors system and I’m trying to help him update his software and add new cameras. How would I go about checking if I can access through a web browser? I assume plug them into some computer with a switch, but I would need some scanner software to see if they are indeed IP? Is that about right? As I stated in post #3, Sercomm made IP cameras for ADT, AT&T, xFinity and more so maybe they did so for alarm.com.
There are several Sercomm models that can stream to Blue Iris, I have been using one in a bluebird house for 3 years.
Do your cams have an embedded webGUI that can be accessed with a browser?
If they are IP cams, then you should be able to discover their IP in the NVR.Ethernet. So that would mean they are IP? I think I’m answering my own questions. I wonder if alarms has any proprietary blockers from connecting with blue iris …most likely not
