Hey guys,

I've been searching this forum and feels like I've got a black belt in google at the moment.

I'm searching for a IP camera supporting alarm input/output.
I've got an AVTECH camera today connected to an external motion detector (Optex LX-402) that gets triggered when it sees a bigger object or heat.
This is used to prevent false alarms which seem to always happen every time the sun goes behind the clouds for me cheaper cameras.
The AVTECH camera supports the alarm input/output function where I've got two cables connected to the motion detector.

But, I can not find any HIKVISION or any other label camera with this kind of functionality.

Since this is the IPCAMTALK forum and most likely there are neards like me all over the place =)
Do you have an answer?

Please help me out!

Best regards,
Martin

You'll be looking for a Hikvision camera with 's' after the dash at the end of the product code.

e.g.
DS-2CD2185FWD-IS
DS-2CD2685G0-IZS
DS-2CD2935FWD-IS

The 's' might not always be the last character, but it'll be after the dash.

Dahua has alarm I/O cameras as well.

Do you know any bullet cameras supporting it?

and even more......
Just scroll through Hikvision's site looking for cameras with 's' after the dash.
Otherwise ask Google.

btw; not all of those will suit your application and not all have alarm I/O ;)

As I was suspecting..... not all with the 's' at the end are Alarm I/O models.....
Hikvision has to change naming conventions.......

I literally just copied all those from Hikvision's site for Bullet cameras with an 's' after the dash.
and I notice it 1 hour later......

Luckily I had a disclaimer that not all had alarm I/O? :idk:

wow .. thanks guys!
I'd still do your own research..... I ain't a Hikvision guy.

You can never trust a Da-DOH(hua) person for Hikvision advice ;)

So, what would your suggestion regarding alarm I/O in the Da-DOOO(hua) world be? =)
