Alibi NVR and PTZ Camera issues or just me?

So I have a 4mp PTZ from Alibi and a 16 POE NVR also from the same line of device.. Having this camera and NVR for 3+ years now and it wasn't until the last update that things start to work a little better but not really much better lol.. 1 NVR seems dumb. Connecting a camera from different PTZ will not pull in nor let me send any preset commands to the camera without setting up new presets that does setup and add in names. However all my Dahua and Amcrest NVRs will let me add my Alibi or Samsung or any of the many other brand PTZs and sent request to go to a preset.. Alibi NO...

Next and while it is better still isn't even close.. PTZ camera lets say is setup with 5 presets.. I like 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 for preset locations so I have them setup. However when I add the camera the NVR setup 5 presets and not as listed but as added.. So if lets say I was adding in the presets and started with 9 for first preset I added. Well that will be preset 1 in the NVR WTH...

Now lets say that I want to fix all that and I delete all my presets and add them back 1-5 and a few days later I make a change to preset 1 aka my Home or guard position. So in the camera while making some changes I go to preset and edit the preset 1 to zoom 10 and not 8x and save. Now the NVR has a new preset 6 and that is just DUMB.. So to make changes you have to Delete the preset and add it back in using the NVR to add it..

What is worse, Ai events. If I have setup in camera add in camera it don't even auto add the events in the NVR. I have to go and setup events I am not meaning just adding in Recording but have to enable the Tripwire and add in the Intrusion. Then again in the camera if I make a change like turn off Tripwire or something that I have setup. The NVR keeps it. setup in the NVR.. It is like the 2 devices are dumb..

Then having a 4mp zoom camera from Alibi as well. The camera is kind of dumb while it does have a zoom lens it only has Intrusion for Ai alerts. It took me like a month to get the intrusion to work between the camera and then NVR.. I mean again Amcrest or Dahua I setup to my Amcrest or Dahua and the events PTZ or what ever is setup in the Camera is now in the NVR..

Then to make things even worse.. Alibi and Uniview everyone knows the Uniview is the Flag ship or Mother company to Alibi.. Like Dahua is to many of its OEM partners.. I put a Dahua on my Amcrest NVR and that NVR is happier then when I add in an Amcrest camera.. Meaning it does things auto that the Amcrest while it works and adds in and does most of what is expected there are just a few things that happens with Dahua cameras being added to Amcrest NVR that makes it feel like the Dahua camera is expected to be there.. So taking a Uniview camera to me you would think that it would love the NVR.. It don't like it at all. It will connect on ONVIF format and will not access any of the AI in the camera lol. So how can it be that hardware that cost so much less Amcrest and Dahua and so much easier to setup and use be better then devices that are crazy costly for what you get? NDAA is just the greed of someone with the hands in the pocket of some brand they have stock in or get major kick backs from.. And what is up with the strange local Switch IP address from the Jump on the Alibi anyway.. I mean if I remember right Amcrest and Dahua don't like the 172.16.x.x format lol.. So I had to change the NVRs switch IP to 192.168.x.x to get things to work with my Dahua/Amcrest cameras on the Alibi Switch..

I don't know maybe it is just me lol.. The NVR is only a Flex Ai not a Pro so maybe the Pro don't have these issues lol AS IF!
